Pikes Peak & the Manitou Incline

Known as “America’s Mountain” Pikes Peak is the highest summit of the southern Front Range of the Rocky Mountains, in North America. The ultra-prominent 14,115-foot fourteener is located in Pike National Forest, west of downtown Colorado Springs, Colorado. The town of Manitou Springs lies at its base.

Cheyenne Mountain Zoo

Visit America’s highest elevated mountainside zoo at 6,800 feet above sea level. You can see more than 750 animals, representing 150 different species, with more than 30 endangered species. The zoo is open year-round and is located on the southwest side of Colorado Springs.

Garden of the Gods Visitor & Nature Center

One of Colorado Springs most noticeable images is the Garden of the Gods national park. This National Natural Landmark is free and open to guests for hiking, biking, technical rock climbing, horseback riding and daily picnics (and the trails are dog-friendly). Only a 20 minute drive from Flying Horse, be sure to pack plenty of sunscreen!

Enjoyed our stay at this property. Visited a friend who lived in this development, so the location was great for that. Also had easy access to town and neighboring areas, not too far from shopping etc. Booked a suite, it was very spacious and had a nice view of the course (which I'd like to come back to play). Dined once at the restaurant in the lodge, had a good burger and their squash soup was amazing. Would stay again.

A conveniently located resort lodge with large rooms and incredible amenities. Very clean with super friendly staff and great food choices and quality. The amenities are located in a beautiful facility which were easily accessible with no wait times. A great place to be active and relax with big open sky views and within short drive to Garden of the Gods.

Absolutely amazing experience! Decided to get out of the house for an overnight with the wife, saw the Flying Horse had rooms. The resort was easy to find. Everything looked very new. Check in was easy and the staff were super friendly. The room... beautifully styled, massive, and well appointed. Amazing view of the mountains made it even better.
