GOLF ACADEMY
The Flying Horse Golf Academy is a year-round facility designed to help players improve without being dependent on the weather.
The golf instruction facility is located within the stunning 18-hole Weiskopf Golf Course next to the driving range, complete with four heated hitting bays and state-of-the-art synthetic turf. Instruction is available to golfers of all skill levels - Membership is not required. Clinics are also available to corporate groups seeking to add a memorable on-site experience.

If you are looking to get into the game and become a golfer, this is your ticket! In 4 weeks we will cover the basics you need to know to get your golf game started. This is perfect for beginner to intermediate players. If you need to borrow clubs, we’ve got em’! Non-members are welcome!

Private Lessons with Garrett
No matter what part of the game you need help on, a private lesson is the fastest route to getting it better. The one-on-one, video analysis, and drills will get your game headed in the right direction. If you are looking for a “fix” or looking for an improvement plan, this is your custom option. These lessons can be used on the course, short game area, or Learning Center (driving range).

Create Your Own Group
Minimum Group(s) of 4 people
Group lessons are a great way to improve your golf game with multiple friends. In your group lessons you can work on your short game, bunker play, long irons, and even dial in the driver before you play a round of golf.
All good instruction doesn’t have to take place entirely one-on-one. Sometimes a group setting for golf instruction can be highly beneficial to your game. It gives you some one-on-one time with a coach, but also the opportunity to work on the tips and improvement points by yourself to develop practice skills and prepare yourself for the long-term practice strategies needed to improve your golf game.

Junior Golf Lessons
Thursday Night Junior Golf
Ages 6 – 12 | Thursdays | 5:00 - 7:00 PM
This junior program has been wildly successful over the past few years. We teach kids from 5:00-6:00 and take them on the golf course to play from 6:00-7:00. Kids experience each part of the game in the 1st hour such as chipping, putting, and full swing.
This clinic runs in 6 weeks segments and you can pay for a 6 week pass or per clinic hour. You can be prorated up to 2 misses per session if notice is given at the beginning of the session.

Session 2: May 15, 22, 29 and June 5, 12, 19
Session 3: June 26 and July 3, 10, 17, 24, 31

4 Day Junior Golf Camp
Ages 6 – 12 | 10:00 am - 1:00 pm
If your junior is looking to have lot of fun and learn a ton, then this is the one! Seriously, we are going to have a great time teaching them each aspect of the game, playing on the course, hitting water balloons, and of obviously- winning prizes. (Lunch included each day)

Meet Garrett Froggatte
Garrett leads the Golf Academy at Flying Horse located in a beautiful country club resort community in Colorado Springs, CO. An accomplished junior player, Garrett played collegiately at Baylor University in Texas, where he competed alongside PGA champion Jimmy Walker. Upon graduation, he became an Assistant Golf Professional at Woodmoor Pines Country Club and had the pleasure of being an apprentice to Mike Bender, one of Golf Digest’s 50 Best Teachers in America. He has competed in the USGA Public Links Championship, multiple Colorado Opens, New Mexico Open, and shot 66 in the US Open local qualifying.
Garrett has been with Flying Horse Resort & Club since 2008 and has since grown the junior golf program and the women’s programs many times over. He taught at the LPGA US Open and enjoys teaching beginner and intermediate golfers to learn the game quickly and have fun in the process. He has coached over 100 juniors – growing the PGA Junior League from 0 to 4 teams and 48 players, having the benefit of seeing many of those juniors go on to play collegiate golf.
Garrett guides his students to learn the most important and key fundamentals of the game first, then working together to fill in the details later. His technique is proven to strengthen athletic ability and accelerate overall progress. His goal is to teach students the biggest return on their investment for their thoughts; in other words, if ten things are wrong, he helps them work on the two things that will help the most.
